Spring Planting and Chicken Tending

We will be meeting at 11am at Ms Mariola’s house.

Kids will plant cucumbers and other vegetables in a greenhouse, and flowers in the garden, learning about the process. Kids will also have the opportunity to tend to the chickens and explore some fun educational materials relating to spring, planting, and chickens as well. Afterwards, kids can play in the playground and have lunch. Liability form must be signed upon arrival.

Note: those who return for the beekeeping demonstration in May can see their labelled vegetable plant and how large it has grown!

What to bring: water, a packable lunch/snack, weather appropriate clothes.

NOTE: LRD Tshirt required as dress code for LRD members, and strongly encouraged for non-members. Tshirts are $20. Hats are optional, $15. T-shirts and hats will be available to purchase in person. Please bring cash.
