Kindergarten- age 13
Monday to Friday
Life Rediscovered is a vibrant community of homeschoolers. We are not your typical co-op. Our program offeres structure and the "school like feel" that so many homeschoolers crave. We take the best of a traditional school environment, combine it with all the strengths of homeschooling, and create magic. Students can attend 2, 3, or 5 days a week, depending on their family's needs.
Our younger group participates in Montessori learning. Students learn all subjects at their own pace, throughout the year. Our older group participates in a combination of self-directed and project-based learning. Our older group focuses on Math and ELA on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, and Social Studies and Science on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This allows families to choose their membership based on what the child may be needing more support in learning.
Both groups are empowered to take charge of their learning experience while diving deep into their interests. We believe that teaching our students how to learn is the most important, as that will enable them to access information and resources as needed throughout their lives.
Curriculum: Teachers pre-plan activities, games, as well as small and group lessons in order to teach the core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, and social studies). In addition, children learn practical life skills, and participate in daily gratitude and mindfulness exercises, outdoor learning, exploration and movement, as well as community service opportunities. We do not teach CRT, or anything relating to sex education/gender identity, or drug education in our program. We have mixed age classrooms with students as young as kindergarten, so we believe that these discussions are a parent’s job to have at home.
